Every season the same question comes up: does the vote you cast actually matter, and which vote counts?
There are three separate things people call "Bigg Boss voting", and they measure different populations.
The three routes
- Missed call - one number per nominated contestant, published by the broadcaster each week.
- In-app voting - through JioHotstar, capped per account per day.
- Unofficial fan polls - platforms like this one, which measure audience sentiment rather than the official tally.
Only the first two feed the eviction decision. The third tells you something the first two never publish: the shape of the support.
The official count tells you who survived. It never tells you which state carried them, or whether their support was rising or collapsing.
Why the breakdown matters
A contestant who wins on 26% with support flat across five days is in a very different position from one who wins on 26% after climbing from 11%. The official result is identical; the trajectory is not.
