Six Bigg Boss seasons launch together in September 2026: every edition, host and platform
Bigg Boss has never done this before. Six language editions - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla - all launch in September 2026, across the JioStar television network and JioHotstar.
Until now the editions were staggered through the year, partly so they did not compete with each other for attention and voting traffic. Running them together is a deliberate bet that the audiences barely overlap.

The Bangla edition is the one to watch. Handing it to Sourav Ganguly - a former India cricket captain with no reality-television history - is the most unusual casting decision in the announcement, and it says something about how far the broadcaster is willing to go for a launch that stands out in a crowded month.
What has not been confirmed
The individual premiere dates. JioStar's announcement names the month, not the days. Reports have put the Hindi edition around 5 September and the Telugu edition around 6 September, but neither is official, and the remaining four have no reported date at all.
This matters more than it usually would. With six seasons opening in the same few weeks, the running order decides which edition gets a clean launch weekend and which opens against Salman Khan. Expect the dates to be announced late and to move.
The pre-shows have already started
Two editions are running commoner selection shows ahead of their premieres, both from 15 August 2026 - Bigg Boss Agnipariksha 2 in Telugu, and Agnipareeksha in Malayalam.
The Telugu one has a track record worth knowing about. Its first season put 6 contestants into the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 house, and one of them, Kalyan Padala, won the whole season.
