Raaghav Ranganathan, born Venkataraghavan Ranganathan in Madurai, trained as an engineer, earning a gold medal from the College of Engineering, Guindy before further study at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and a stint as a software engineer. He moved into entertainment first through television, appearing on the first season of Jodi Number One, before his film debut as lead actor, music composer and producer on Nanjupuram in 2011. He has since appeared in Enthiran, Velayudham and V, and wrote and directed the film Ticket in 2017. He is married to Preetha, his co star on Jodi Number One, and the pair finished as runners up together on both that show and Maanada Mayilada. He entered the Bigg Boss Tamil 10 house on the grand premiere night of 6 September 2026.
