She began appearing on television in 2016 and became widely known as Guddan in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega after an early role in Badho Bahu. Her later work includes Roohaniyat, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 and Naagin 7. Salman Khan introduced Kanika as the first Bigg Boss 20 contestant on premiere night.
